Service Description

***Consent and History Forms MUST BE completed 24 hours prior to your appointment. They can be found on our website and are sent automatically upon booking. Check your Junk, Promotions, or Updates folders. *** What’s included in your first in-clinic consultation: • Basic nursing supplies (if deemed necessary to implement your feeding care plan successfully) • Going over your full prenatal and postnatal health history • Assessment of the breastfeeding dyad • Bottle feeding assessment (if applicable) • Infant weight check • Latch assessment • Assessment of baby's tongue function and suck* • Functional oral assessment (lip/tongue ties or restrictions) • Flange fitting • Management of current challenges and practical lactation support/tips. • Help with the use of breastfeeding aids (nipple shield, finger feeding etc.). • A comprehensive care plan development (sent to you within 24 hours). • 48h email support after the initial consultation • Option for in-home, in-clinic or virtual follow-up at a reduced rate. *Oral Function & Feeding Assessment: while we do not perform tongue-tie or lip-tie releases (frenectomies), our RN/IBCLC has extensive experience in a specialized frenectomy clinic and is highly skilled in assessing infant oral function. As part of your lactation consultation, we perform a comprehensive digital oral and suck assessment to evaluate your baby's tongue function, oral coordination, and feeding mechanics. If our assessment indicates that further evaluation is needed, we will refer you to a trusted healthcare provider for diagnosis and treatment, while continuing to support you and your baby's feeding journey. *** Why Follow-Up Care Matters Many feeding challenges cannot be fully resolved in a single appointment. As your baby grows and their needs change, follow-up care allows us to reassess progress, adjust your plan, and catch issues early before they become bigger problems. Ongoing support greatly increases your chances of reaching your feeding goals with confidence

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations/Refunds/No-shows Policy Payment can be made online before your appointment or at the time of your appointment. In-person payments are accepted by e-transfer or cash only. We require 24 hours' notice for any appointment cancellation or rescheduling. Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice, as well as no-shows, will be subject to a $75 fee. If the client does not show up for an in-person or virtual appointment, the fee for that appointment is non refundable. If I am unaware that you are late for your appointment, I typically wait 20 minutes and then log out or leave (if this is a home visit). In this case it is considered a no-show. If you notify me that you are running late before or right at your appointment time, I will wait and we can use the remaining time. * These policies do not apply to free webinars and classes. Thank you for your understanding.
